BE OUT DAY MIAMI - FAQs

- What can I bring with me?
- Chairs, tents (10′ x 10′ or smaller), umbrellas, blankets, drinks, food, etc. Make yourself comfortable for this day in the sun.
- How large of a tent can I bring?
- All tents must be 10’ x 10’ or smaller. No exceptions. You will be required to take down any tent in violation of these measurements.
- Are there any prohibited items?
- Yes, this is a family friendly event, therefore do not bring guns or weapons, Styrofoam.
- Will there be any food provided?
- There will be food trucks and food vendors selling food for participants.
- How much is parking?
- The all-day parking fee is $7, please pay at the meter station to avoid tickets and/or towing.
- How can I donate to scholarships for the Miami-Dade Chapter?
- You can donate using this link. Donate via PayPal.me/mdfamunaa, Cash App – $MDFAMUNAA, cash or money order, or checks made out to FAMU NAA Miami-Dade Chapter
- What is the attire?
- FAMU orange and green gear is highly recommended but not required – we love all of our HBCU fam. Although we will be near the beach, swimming attire is not needed as we will be on the bay side of Collins Avenue.
- Can I bring my pet?
- No, pets are not allowed in the area of the park for our event.
